Susan Goold, F.O.W.S
Building on natures designs, with imagination, Susan blends realistic and abstract forms to reflect warmth and harmony in her landscapes, florals and seascapes. Using subtle variations, even a snowy country scene will contain a rainbow of colour. She hopes her paintings remind you of the good things in life and the beauty that surrounds us.
Susan was commissioned by Kanata Lakes Apartments to paint a large triptychs for two of their lobbies. One inspired by the rocks and trees around the Beaver pond the other the rolling grounds and trees on the Kanata Golf Course. She found great joy in creating these.
Susan was co-designer and painter of three murals in the Kanata Seniors Center and two in the West Ottawa Community Resource Center. She was an organizer and founder of the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, the Kanata Artists Studio Tour and Young At Art, (a juried art show for teenagers, now organized and run by the City of Ottawa). In 2004 she received an Ontario Volunteer Award for volunteering in the artist community.
She shows her work at the Kanata Civic Art Gallery. Her biography is published and listed in Who’s Who in Canada and Who’s Who of Canadian Women.
