Jacqueline Ratto Allard, a native of Nova Scotia, an elementary teacher and an artist, also resided in Europe while continuing to develop her art style. She studied under various mentors in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Belgium and Italy, including Mount Allison University / Fine Arts and the Academy of Design and Decorative Arts in Brussels.
Her art portrays various subjects in oil and acrylic, reflecting bold lines with vibrant colours and graceful forms with slightly altered patterns. Her work is intuitive, guided by her own observations and life experiences.
She had various exhibitions, including at Edgemere Gallery and Dartmouth Heritage Museum in N.S., Art Sales and Rental / Halifax Art Gallery N.S., Ottawa Art Gallery Annexe.
