Isabelle Jérôme

Isabelle Jérôme is an award-winning, Ottawa-based, emerging artist with watercolour as her primary medium.

From a young age, Isabelle has always been interested in the arts and worked with a variety of mediums including graphite, acrylics, and soapstone. Once she discovered watercolour, she immediately fell in love with its transparency, accessibility, and challenges. As a high school art teacher, she hopes to spread her passion for the arts to younger generations.

Being mostly self taught, Isabelle is continuously exploring different techniques and styles, but enjoys painting detailed, figurative art. Two of her passions are traveling and food; so she tends to look there for inspiration. Her paintings are reflections of the gems discovered while wandering around the globe; whether it being a landscape, an animal or a snack eaten along the way.

Isabelle is active in the art scene throughout the city and surrounding area.  She is a member of various organizations and galleries including the Ottawa Watercolour Society, the Foyer Gallery Artists’ Association, the Kanata Civic Art Gallery, and the Ottawa School of Art. Her works have been accepted in juried exhibitions and her paintings can be found in private collections here in Canada and abroad.
