Gilly is a painter and photographer whose focus is nature and landscape. A love for exploring has taken her to all points in North America hiking, birdwatching and seeking remote and rugged places. A recent trip, further afield to Tanzania, was another perfect blend of nature and photography.
Gilly is an accredited member of the Professional Photographers of Canada with accreditation in Fine Art, Animals and Bird Photography. She has completed The School of Photography’s on-line course – ‘Fine Art Landscape’. In almost all photo images, texture and light layers are digitally incorporated. Every layer is from her own photography; either a background image or a ‘texture’ photo. These layers introduce mood, character and visual interest or complexity to the original photograph.
